20 May Presentation in ITF 2016 edition “Green and Inclusive Transport”
The International Transport Forum was held in Leipzig (Germany) under the theme of “Green an Sustainable Transport” from 18 to 20 of May.
The ITF represents a main transport policy event for discussion bringing together industry and key government representatives from more than 55 countries. The 2016 edition focussed on the transport contribution to achieve the key sustainable goals agreed at COP21in Paris last December and hence to ensure a smooth transition to a low-carbon economy.
The ITF was then the perfect framework to present the rationale and content of the SustainEuroRoad LIFE Project which was part of the ITF Open Stage Café, a new and more interactive format to approach participants to the initiative. In this sense, José Díez (ERF) and Ismail Ismail Cavagnol (USIRF) explained how our sector is developing the new software based on SEVE to reduce the environmental impact of road construction and maintenance.
