The Spanish magazine “Asfalto y Pavimentación” has published a dedicated article about the project in the first quarter 2016 issue.
It concretely explains in Spanish the contribution of the LIFE Project SustainEuroRoad towards boosting greener public procurements in the road infrastructure sector.
The article describes how the new SustainEuroRoad tool could help to road authorities in successfully implement the new Public Procurement directives and hence improving environmental performance of the road industry having a better impact over the mobility and society as at all.
The new legal framework has to be transposed in April 2016 in order to modernize public purchasing procedures for road related services in order to move from away from the principle of the “cheapest price” encouraging the evaluation of tender based on other criteria approach.
